Billionaire investor and entrepreneur Mark Cuban says anyone can become a millionaire if they follow his four rules for entrepreneurs.

  • Mark Cuban’s four rules for entrepreneurs are…
  • Find something you can be good at. Then, be great at it.
  • Know how to sell.
  • Be curious and always learning.
  • When you walk into a room, know your stuff better than anyone else in the room.

Many businessmen and entrepreneurs dream of being a huge success. Cuban, owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and a regular on TV’s Shark Tank, told GQ that if entrepreneurs stick to these rules, they will become successful and grow a career just as he did.

The serial entrepreneur details his rules for success that helped him build his fortune and says those who follow these rules will be successful.

  1. Rule number one—find something you can be good at. Then, be great at it.

Cuban says you need to study your subject heavily. Find out what you are good at and never stop researching and making yourself better, be the best you can be.

  1. His next rule—know how to sell.

Cuban details how his sales experience started when he was 12 years old. He used to travel door to door selling trash bags to earn money for a pair of shoes he wanted.

“Selling isn’t about convincing, It’s about helping,” Cuban says. “When you understand what people need and want, you put yourself in a position to help them. Then you make good things happen, close deals, and that’s how you create companies.”
